The weeks prior had been long and draining and Amy sat on the edge of the docks; her feet hung down just far enough to brush against the surface of the water. She let out a soft sigh and stared at the water with a fairly blank expression. The world around her was spinning and she leaned forward just enough to fall off the end of the dock and splashed into the ocean. She disappeared under the clear water and remained under for a few minutes. After about 5 minutes she returned to the surface and took a deep breath, her black shirt stuck to her like plastic and her jeans had turned three shades darker. She flipped her hair backwards and blew the water off her face and pulled herself back onto the dock and stared at a guy who had stopped dead in his tracks and was staring at her.
She stood up and set her hand on her hip and sent him a soft glare, "Can I help you?" she snarled and the man stepped backed, looking slightly frightened. A group had gathered and then the male that had come to her rescue realized who she was and ripped his hand into his chest, "H- Hatter, uhm.. Oh.. I'm sorry. I- ". Hatter grinned and her small fang glittered and she let out a small chuckle. She ran her fingers through her soaked hair and grabbed her shoes from the dock. She glanced up at the male and he had already started to shoo the crowd. She arched a brow and sat back down on the edge of the dock and once again rested her toes against the surface of the water. She wiggled out of her wet shirt and shook it a couple time, blasting air through the fabric, instantly drying it. Amy draped it over the log and expanded her large black wings outward and inhaled deeply at the sharp pain that followed at the wings tore open her skin, but it healed. Her wings relaxed and rested against the dock. Hatter stared out into the horizon and got lost in her thoughts.
